Despite missing figures to prove the claim, triple-A game titles such as Battlefield 1, Mafia 3 and Skyrim Special Edition respectively makes for October’s top-selling PS4 games.
The news, however, is not just an assumption but a reflection of what PlayStation itself blogged indicating games ranked based on their number of downloads.
Seen from the list, as also mentioned in Attack of the Fan Boy, the top three games that got the highest number of downloads include Battlefield 1 at the top, followed by Mafia 3 and Skyrim Special Edition, respectively.
Battlefield 1 is EA’s second attempt at developing first-person war games as set in the first World War since Wings of Glory back in 1994. The game is highly praised by critics and loved by fans which compares it from the previous two installments from EA, namely Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline, as overall better.
Mafia 3, on the other hand, is the long-awaited sequel to 2K Games’ 2010 title as set in the fictional Empire Bay in the USA. For the first time ever, the game features a black protagonist by the name of Lincoln Clay as he go through a journey of retribution around 1960’s New Orleans towards a crime family that killed his own.
Skyrim Special Edition is the remake and remaster of the original 2011 Bethesda Softworks title, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It includes all contents found from the previous. For previous owners of the base game with all the DLC or the Legendary Edition, Bethesda is offering free upgrade to the Special Edition.
Following the top three games as October’s best-selling PS4 games include EA’s FIFA 17, Dragonball Xenoverse 2, Battlefield Hardline, NBA 2K17, Rocket League, Titan Fall 2, and The Last of Us Remastered Edition.
This list of top-selling PS4 games, however, is likely to change after November.
