Playing games is actually a good hobby, provided that the user doesn’t let the game rule his or her life. Gaming can help the mind form strategies and enhance the creativity while promoting good motor coordination. And for the new year, every gamer is anticipating the release of the upcoming game sequels 2017.
Every game is not just for fun’s sake. Games help a user tap into his or her “positive emotions”, as said by Jane McGonigal, a famous game developer. So, don’t look down on game enthusiasts; they are smarter than they look.
Upcoming Game Sequels 2017
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Many Mass Effect fans expected for EA to release the sequel in 2016. However, the company posted in their blog that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be released in March 21, 2017. The sequel will take place after the events of the Mass Effect trilogy. Players can choose on the role of a male or female character and they can now use a Mako, which is a six-wheel vehicle that can be customized.
“It’s our most ambitious Mass Effect game to date. There are new stories, characters, planets, species, and gameplay systems,” Aaryn Flynn, the general manager of Bioware, said.

Yes, Jin Kazama is back and he is better than ever! Well, the Japanese already experienced Tekken 7 firsthand in the arcades but the iconic game will make its PS4/Xbox One/PC debut on June 2. Two new mechanisms, Rage Art and Power Crush, are introduced in the game. Rage Art allows the player to execute deadly attacks while Power Crush lets the player hit the opponent while the latter is attacking. Katsuhiro Hada, Tekken 7’s producer, said that the game is darker than ever and will conclude the Mishima clan saga.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
This is arguably one of the most anticipated upcoming game sequels 2017. It’s release date is March 3, the same date set for Nintendo’s Nintendo Switch launch. The sequel is set apart from the previous Legend of Zelda games because of the open world environment and a brand new plot where Link wakes up with amnesia. This game has been delayed several times, but it looks like the wait is worth it.
