The President Show Starring ‘ Donald Trump ’ – Here’s What We Think Of It

Current United States president Donald Trump has been in the limelight for a myriad of reasons – even before he became the president of the most powerful country in the free world. He’s been known to make the most spectacular of statements and he’s also known for what some might call ‘weird quirks.’

As of recent, Comedy Central has announced that ‘The President Show’ will be debuting later this April. The show will star Anthony Atamanuik as President Donald J. Trump, and the show’s format will exactly be like the late night TV shows that we have grown to love.

It will be airing weekly on Thursdays at 11.30 pm and each episode will last for 22 minutes of Atamanuik hysterical takes on impersonating the 45th president of the United States. A press release from Comedy Central says that, “Just like a certain chief executive in Washington, The President Show gleefully tosses out the rulebook of its predecessors”

Before we say goodbye to our favorite late night televisions shows that feature the likes of Jimmy Fallon and Trevor Noah, we still have to see if this weekly show will really progress to tickle our ‘funny bone.’

The newest late-night talk show will feature a lead-in from The Daily Show With Trevor Noah. It’s a satirical show that will also feature Peter Grosz as Vice President Mike Pence, Trump’s so-called sidekick in the show. It’s also been reported that many of the elements of these features will also be featured in the show such as interviews, pieces from the field and the like.

According to the Anamanuik, “Laughing at the president is a proud American tradition and we hope not to disappoint anyone in that department.”  He goes on to say that, “But our political system is too broken for us to be content joking about one man, even though he is a disastrous silly little toddler boy. Mostly I’d just like to thank Comedy Central for giving us this platform to speak truth to power and if we’re lucky, end up in prison!”

Stay tuned for more updates on the newest satirical show from Comedy Central!
