Things are getting more and more exciting for Yuri as the events for the Grand Prix Finals continue to unfold. According to Jobs & Hire, Yuri is doing some serious training with Phicit to perfect his Quadruple Spin trick. However, many fans admit that they are still hung up after Yuki defeated Yuri during their most-awaited face off despite Viktor’s absence.
Yuri on Ice episode 10 is said to show more of Yuki’s serious intent to win the competition. Reportedly, his efforts and training are all for Viktor. He accordingly promised to get his coach “a Christmas gift” that will be “something round and gold.” Could Yuki be bluffing, knowing how tough the competition is? Or will his hard work pay off this time around?

Yuri on Ice Episode 11 to feature Nobunari Oda?
Anime News Network reported that professional skater Nobunari Oda will be appearing on the show’s 11th episode. He is set to play the role as himself. As per the report, he will be commentating the short program of the Grand Prix Final. Real-life TV Asahi commentator Taihei Kato (Hisashi Morooka on the show) will be joining him in the episode.
Interestingly, an excerpt from the same publication reads:
“Yuri Katsuki makes his way to the Grand Prix ice skating competition as Japan’s top representative with his eyes on the prize. However, instead of celebrating, Yuri walks away defeated and ready to retire for good. But a run-in with champion Viktor Nikiforov and rising star Yuri Plisetsky ignites a new fire within him. With the two of them close by his side, Yuri will take to the ice once more.”
