Will Criminal Minds Season 12 Finale End Mr. Scratch Arc This Season?

Criminal Minds Season 12’s big bad is Mr. Scratch. He is the Behavioral Analysis Unit’s (BAU) main enemy for this season. reports that this villain did a lot of bad things to the team. He tortured Tara and almost killed Derek Morgan. Moreover, he drove Hotch out of town and even placed Spencer Reid in prison. Who can get more evil than that?

The source notes that in the show’s upcoming finale, Morgan returns to help the team catch Mr. Scratch. Just like the same old Morgan, he will give it his best to put this villain behind bars, again.

The outlet opines that the Mr. Scratch story arc should end this season. Moreover, spoilers expect the series to have a low-key ending.  After defeating the bad guy, the publication reports that the team will probably head over to Rossi’s. He will then make the crew his famed carbonara which the show featured in previous seasons.

Meanwhile, some speculate that, while Mr. Scratch’s story will end this season, the show may introduce Mr. Scratch’s new associate. This story arc will probably carry over through to Season 13. However, the outlet noted that it is not typical for the crime drama series to do a cliffhanger finale, so this theory may not happen anytime soon.

On the other hand, while fans wait for the upcoming Criminal Minds episode, Counsel & Heal reports that the series’ lead star Kirsten Vangsness continues to share snaps of the Criminal Minds cast and crew on her Instagram account. The latter report notes that the actress recently shared photos of co-stars Matthew Gubler, Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster goofing around the set.

Meanwhile, the outlet notes that despite the slight dip in the show’s ratings, CBS picked up the crime drama series for its 13th season. The series’ renewal announcement was made along with other CBS shows like Madam Secretary, McGyver, The Big Bang Theory and Blue Bloods.
