This Is Us Season 2 Spoilers: Jack’s Death Isn’t The Most Painful Yet

This Is Us Season 2 will continue to reveal the Pearson family’s most-hated discussion: Jack’s death. However, creator Dan Fogelman has something else in mind for his viewers. Something that may just be more painful than Jack’s death. What could it be?

With This Is Us Season 1 airing its episode finale tonight, avid viewers are still aching to know how Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) died. Meanwhile, some find themselves wanting to get more information about Randall’s life (Sterling K. Brown) after his father’s death.

This Is Us Season 2 Shows A Different Randall?

CINEMABLEND reports that Randall and Beth’s (Susan Kelechi Watson) family also suffered a major loss this season. Randall’s biological father, William (Ron Cephas Jones) succumbed to stomach cancer this season. With his father’s death and being 36 years old, Watson hinted that Beth’s husband will experience a lot of change this season.

Moreover, the actress teased that Randall and Beth’s future is going to be “typically deep as hell.” This Is Us viewers saw the workaholic father visiting his office, after his father’s funeral, to quit his job. According to Watson, Randall did it to honor his father and fans can expect major changes to happen.

The outlet hints that this latest change in Randall’s perspective “will cause some sort of upheaval in his life with Beth and their two daughters.” Meanwhile, TVLine reports that This Is Us viewers saw Randall slowly transform into a different person in Season 1. It looks like this transformation will continue in Season 2 which may not go well with his relationship with Beth.

Watson said, “Him (Randall) hitting that milestone of 36 opened up something now that is going to stay open. It leaves room for a lot of change to want to come forth and a lot of stuff that we’ll still be grappling with.”

Watson Pleased With Beth’s Role In Season 2

The latter report notes that the Third Watch actress remains tight-lipped about the Randall-Beth tandem. However, the actress revealed that she has spoken to the show’s producers about her character for Season 2. Watson went on to say that she is “pleased, so far.”

This Is Us Season 1 aired their episode finale titled Moonshadow. The initial report notes that the Dan Fogelman series will return to the small screen this fall on the same timeslot.
