The Voice Season 12 Introduces New Panel Of Judges
According to E! Online, NBC’s musical competition series showcased a new set of coaches. Apart from being musical greats, the gang is always ready to crack a few jokes. This becomes even more evident when Levine continues to poke fun at Shelton over the most random of things.
Before the premiere, an exclusive preview showed how Shelton told his fellow coaches how he needs to sit next to Keys during the show.
“I have to sit next to Alicia, and you do not want to disappoint her, let me tell you. Because those same eyes that are charming and hypnotic will also burn a hole right through the side of your skull,” Shelton said. Another clip shows Keys telling Shelton, “Continue, please. And please watch your mouth.” Sheltons’s girlfriend, and co-judge Stefani then bursts in laughter.

The Voice Season 12 Premiere’s Best Performances
Meanwhile, TV Guide notes some of the most noticeable performance from last night’s premiere. For instance, season 11 returnee Johnny Hayes is making a solid comeback this time around. His soulful rendition of Otis Redding’s Try A Little Tenderness got Levine and Stefani turning their seats around immediately. In the end, Hayes chose Levine.
Meanwhile, Anatalia Villaranda wowed the judges with her super high energy. The 16-year-old California resident sang Runaway Baby which showed her impressive control and potential. She joined Keys’ team. Another one to look out for is Felicia Temple. She may seem like a familiar face, having sung the national anthem at a major league sports event in the past. Temple is a cancer survivor who bounced back and nailed All I Could Do Was Cry during the blind auditions. She also joined Villaranda on Team Alicia.
Another one to watch out for is J. Chosen. He sang Marvin Gaye’s Sexual Healing so amazingly, that he almost started a fight between the judges. Eventually, he chose the No Doubt singer.
