Supergirl Season 2: Alex And Maggie

Feb. 14 just passed by but it is not over for Supergirl fans! The show’s favorite lesbian couple just made the definition of love even sweeter. Photos from the newest episode of Supergirl season 2 revealed how Alex and Maggie celebrated Valentine’s Day. Maggie claimed that V-Day “makes her puke”, it looks like Alex changed her perspective about that certain day.

The photos showed Alex in a beautiful red dress while Maggie wore what looked like a three-piece suit. Although the couple had a fight because of Maggie’s views on V-Day, the couple reconciled and celebrated their first Valentine’s date together. It can also be assumed that the two also had a passionate night afterwards.

The Alex And Maggie Ship: Fans Definitely Support It

Many fans have been vocal about their support for Alex and Maggie, claiming that it’s refreshing to see a happy lesbian couple onscreen. Ever since Alex came out of her closet, fans have been expressing their delight over the pair. When the Valentine’s Day episode for Supergirl season 2 comes out, it’s clear that viewers are more than ecstatic over the fact that it was focused on Alex and Maggie’s relationship.

However, not all viewers are happy with Alex and Maggie. One concerned mother tweeted that Supergirl should “tone down” the homosexuality.

“Please tone down the homosexual messages. Used to watch this with my daughters, now I have to explain to a 7 and 10 year  old. Thanks,” the mother wrote. The Supergirl account had a perfect reply to the mother.

“Good, explain to them that love is love and it’s beautiful no matter where you find it and who you find it with,” the account said. That just goes to show that there is nothing to be shy about when it comes to love. Everyone, gay or straight, has the right to express their love with the people they cherish.
