Harry Potter and Gossip Girl fans are in for a treat! Two of the hottest Brit stars on TV are joining Crackle’s upcoming show Snatch that premieres on March. Interestingly, a brand new trailer of Snatch TV series has revealed how intense the upcoming show can get! The show is loosely based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 heist film that tells the story of a group of criminals in the world of organized crime when they discover a truckload of stolen gold.
Snatch TV series features all-star cast
The brand new trailer features Rupert Grint to go against his on-screen adversary, Gossip Girl‘s ultimate heartthrob Ed Westwick. As per The Independent, the fans can also see Skins star Luke Pasqualino (who will play Albert Hill), Hustle actor Marc Warren, Fear The Walking Dead‘s Dougray Scott, and Lucien Laviscount.
Fans will see Grint as Charlie Cavendish, a “dynamic, frustratingly chaotic and utterly posh” con man. Meanwhile, Westwick is his greatest adversary, as he takes on the role of nightclub owner Sonny Castillo. The same publication also notes that the project was given a full season order last year while still “carrying the spirit of the original.”

Snatch TV series production details
Showrunner Alex De Rakoff explained how he got Guy Ritchie’s blessing when he first thought of the original 2000 film. “I’ve known Guy for a long time so when I was approached by Crackle to look at this, I went to him and said, ‘How do you feel about it? Do I do it?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, if it’s f-king good.’ And that was the end of it,” De Rakoff said.
Despite the show being loosely based on the movie, they wanted to “set out and do something on their own.” Fans are now hyped because the series has already started production in Manchester, England. Slash Film also notes that the first season has already been ordered with ten new episodes.
Snatch premieres on TV on March 16.
