Rick and Morty Season 3: Premiere Date Might Be This March

Many fans were disappointed when Rick and Morty Season 3 did not premiere on Jan. 9, which was listed on IMDB as Season 3 Episode 1’s air date. Until now, the release date for the next season remains unknown, though there are new rumors that it might be in March.

What’s advisable for fans, so they won’t get disappointed, is not to expect Season 3 anytime soon. While it’s good to know that it’s currently under production, anticipating its release date will only make the wait time more unbearable. For now, Adult Swim released two sneak peeks to give us a glimpse of what’s to come.

Not easy to do Rick and Morty Season 3

Dan Harmon, one of the creators of Rick and Morty Season 3, said that it’s more difficult to produce the upcoming season because of the pressure that comes from the success of Season 1 and 2. They need to produce the same insatiability the viewers have for Rick and Morty during the first two seasons.

Then again, there’s also a “level of conscientiousness” in every episode of Rick and Morty. He sampled that he was contented with one episode, but the others are not. Though he’s a big part of the production team, that doesn’t mean his opinion counts more than the others.

There was a hint, though, that the production is close to finalizing Season 3. The scripts have reportedly been finished, but it’s the animation that will have to take place a little longer.

Rick and Morty will go on Adventures Again

So far, here are the three things we need to watch out for: how Rick escaped from prison (remember he surrendered in Season 2 to stop the Galactic Federation from chasing down his family), how he will treat his family from here on, and what new adventures he has in store for his grandson, Morty.

It’s also interesting to note that a sneak peek showed Rick turning into a really, really small pickle. This means he may have to spend his life without arms and legs, and with only the help of Morty. But since he’s clearly a genius, can we expect Rick to use whatever resources he has in Rick and Morty Season 3 to battle with a group of rats?
