Prison Break Season 5: The Mystery Behind Michael Scofield’s Revival

When Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) died in the final hours of Season 4, fans mourned his character and the show that ended in such a sad note. So when it was announced that there would be a Prison Break Season 5, the first question was whether Miller will even be part of it and what his participation in it will be.

It turned out that Miller’s character is, indeed, alive. In Season 5, we’ll get to see him and his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), once again. The question, though, is: how will the creators justify the revival of Miller’s character?

Michael Scofield is back from the dead in Prison Break Season 5

This is not Game of Thrones, where Jon Snow’s (Kit Harrington) miraculous comeback from the dead was simply explained by the Red Woman. In Prison Break Season 5, the main focus would be explaining how Michael ended up in prison after the explosion back in Season 4. When the series ended in 2009, the main belief was that Michael just “let go” of life because he believed his brain tumor was back.

Paul T. Cheuring, the series creator, hinted in a report by E News that maybe Michael’s character has been compromised. One of the exciting things about Season 5 is not knowing if the protagonist is even a good guy. Maybe Michael isn’t Michael anymore?

The new trailer for Season 5 showed the gang learning that Michael is still alive. They got back together again on their most dangerous mission as of yet: breaking Michael out of prison.

Are Michael and Sara reuniting, too?

In terms of the love department, things are going to be confusing, too. While fans are waiting for the reunion between Michael and his wife, Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), it’s not going to be that easy for them. Believing that Michael is dead, Sara is now married to Jacob (Mark Feuerstein).

Mark isn’t going to be a villain, though. This is not the typical love triangle between a wife and her two husbands. According to Cheuring, in Prison Break Season 5, Mark is going to help his wife, Sara, in breaking out Michael from prison.
