Prison Break Season 5 hasn’t even started yet and already, fans are clamoring for a Season 6? Even its lead star, Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield), thinks it’s a good idea to get ready for the next season.

Fans will have to wait, though, if Season 5 will pick good viewership and ratings. The odds of a new season will, of course, depend on how fans will receive this revival of nine episodes. But looking at the reaction for Season 5, we’re sure fans are going to do the best to make Season 6 a possibility.

Earlier, it was revealed that the new trailer for Prison Break Season 5 was 20 times more anticipated than any other upcoming and new shows. ListenFirst Media co-CEO and co-founder Jason Klein said that the figures reveal the fans have missed the show. Prison break ended its run in 2009.

The trailer, which was released a couple of weeks ago, broke Fox’s viewing records. It earned 50 million organic views on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube combined. In the first 24-hour period, there were already 42 million views.

The hype, in short, is really there. Even Miller was somehow astounded by the numbers, and voiced his sentiments that he’s not ready to let go of his beloved character.

What Happened To Michael?

When Prison Break aired its Season 4 finale, it broke the hearts of many fans around the world. After all, it hinted of Michael’s demise after saving his wife, Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies).

It’s safe to say that we were all happy to realize that Michael is still alive, but stuck in a Moroccan prison cell. He was there after breaking away from a Yemeni terrorist group. Season 5 will follow the varied emotions and shock of the crew when they realize that Michael is still alive.

Sara is raising her and Michael’s son with her new husband, Jacob (Mark Feuerstein), while Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) has not been in contact with the rest of the group. Prison Break Season 5 will follow the events of how the crew breaks Michael out from prison.
