With Pretty Little Liars season 7 approaching its end, fans should brace themselves for a lot of shakeups. Recent reports have revealed that when the show returns on April, someone is definitely leaving for good. Moreover, the future of the couples of the series has also been discussed. Read on to find out what you should expect when the show returns on April.
Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Spoilers: Show Boss Confirmed Someone Will Die
Death in the show is something most fans have probably gotten used to already. That said, a report from TV Line revealed that show producer Oliver Goldstick answered matter-of-factly when he was asked if someone was leaving the show.
“Of course!” Goldstick asserted when he was asked the pervasive question. “What would Pretty Little Liars be without death? What do you think is in that big, black box on the table? A lizard?” He further teased. Goldstick also mentioned that for avid followers of the show who have been speculating if someone will die when the show returns, they are sure not to be disappointed. “Somebody’s gotta go,” he simply said.

Pretty Little Liars Season 7 spoilers: Emily And Ali’s Future
In another report from Carter Matt, the relationship of Alison and Emily garnered much attention. While fans ship this specific pairing, there seems to be no clear guarantees of anything. Actress Shay Mitchell (who plays Emily in the series) was rather coy on the subject of any big romantic developments for her character. However, she did make some assurances for the Emily-Ali shippers to make them want to look forward on the show’s return.
“We’re going to have scenes together … As far as what the outcome is… that’s the exciting part about all of this. It is the most romantic season, but Emily has also had a revolving door of many women, so it’s kind of a toss-up who she ends up with,” Mitchell said.
Despite the vague remarks, Mitchell and the writers keeping the story under the wraps is pretty understandable. The same outlet also notes how Emily is “really one of the characters where there is the most ambiguity at the moment.” That said, it seems fairly obvious that Aria and Ezra will still end up together despite what happened. Hanna and Caleb are just starting out, and something could be brewing for Toby and Spencer. While there are many potential partners for Emily, it seems like Ali is the prime choice of fans with whom she ends up with.
