Gibbs’ NCIS team gets a new assignment this week sans Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito). In the NCIS Season 14 Episode 20 titled A Bowl of Cherries, Cartermatt.com reports that Quinn will take some “time off to be with her mother (Mercedes Ruehl) after she received a 911 text.”

Meanwhile, the outlet notes that this feature on Quinn’s is good news for NCIS viewers who wants to get to know the other side of Esposito’s character. Hence, the source hopes that this story arc will provide good content in giving viewers a hint of Quinn’s personal side. Moreover, this will hopefully help in expanding the narrative of the show.

Apart from Quinn’s feature, McGee (Sean Murray) needs to trace the hacker who infected the vice admiral’s laptop. McGee needs to find the person responsible before the computer virus eliminates the vice admiral’s files.

NCIS Season 14 Episode 21 News

Meanwhile, in a different report from the same outlet reveals that NCIS Season 14 Episode 21 will again feature Wilmer Valderrama’s character, Nick Torres. The source notes that in the One Book, Two Covers episode, Torres will be given an opportunity to showcase his skills as an undercover and NCIS agent.

The outlet notes that a Marine’s murder is being linked to a dirt-bike gang which Torres was part of in one of his undercover missions. Because of his knowledge about the gang, Torres helps the NCIS team to solve the murder by using the resources that he has.

Moreover, Torres’ case notes when he was doing his undercover mission will prove to be very useful in solving this murder case. The outlet notes that while viewers appreciate that NCIS writers are providing more background to their new cast members, avid supporters are hoping for more exposure for the show’s longtime characters.

The publication suggested creating a major story for McGee or probably of Gibbs at the show’s Season 14 finale. NCIS Season 14 Episode 20 will air on April 4, 2017. Meanwhile, the show will go on a week’s hiatus and then it returns with Torres’ big story. NCIS Season 14 Episode 21 will air on April 28.
