Married At First Sight Sonia Granados And Nick Pendergrast Love Story Ends

Another reality couple’s relationship bites the dust. Married at First Sight Season 4 couple Sonia Granados and Nick Pendergrast announced that they are filing for divorce. The two posted their shared statement on their respective Twitter accounts.

Unfortunately, not all love stories have a happy ending. Reality show couple Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados told their Twitter followers that they are getting a divorce. Us Weekly reported that Granados and Pendergrast shared the news using their Twitter accounts.

Married At First Sight Couple Files For Divorce

The outlet notes that a portion of the couple’s statement reads: “We are sad to share that after almost a year of marriage we have decided to separate and file for divorce.” Moreover, they thanked their supporters for their “love and support” while they undergo this difficult phase.

Granados captioned her tweet telling her followers not to get discouraged. “This is still a love story,” said the MAFS Season 4 cast member.  Meanwhile, the couple’s friend and fellow Married at First Sight Season 4 cast member Lillian Vilchez reacted to the outlet’s tweet. Vilchez said that she is proud of the estranged couple and wished them all the best.

Meanwhile, People Magazine reports that Granados is still thankful that their relationship was able to inspire people to do social work. The 33-year-old social worker tweeted: I may not have found forever on #MAFS but we were able to inspire people to give to the homeless AND open eyes to foster care #blessed.”

Sonia And Nick Not A Good Fit?

The initial report notes that Pendergrast and Granados first met each other at the altar in Married at First Sight’s fourth season. They both had a rough start when they started living together. The 32-year-old Pendergrast loves dogs, while Granados is not too keen to have them around.

Moreover, the vacation rental manager said on national television that he does not find his social experiment wife attractive. Viewers thought that the lack of physical intimacy and attraction between the two of them will lead to the couple getting a divorce at the end of the season.

However, the couple made a decision to stick together and make their marriage work off-camera. Pendergrast and Granados are the second couple to break up from the reality show’s fourth season. Heather Seidel and Derek Schwartz were the first to break off their marriage even before the experiment ended. On the other hand, realtor Vilchez and boat interior designer Tom Wilson continue to have a happy married life.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Rachel DeAlto, and Pastor Calvin Roberson were the experts who paired the three couples as a match. Married at First Sight Season 4 was aired on FYI. What can you say about the Married at First Sight couple’s announcement? Share your thoughts with us!
