Married At First Sight Season 5 Moves To Lifetime; Show Reveals Cast Members

Married At First Sight Season 5 has a new home when it returns in April. Moreover, the show gives its avid viewers a glimpse of who are these six brave singles. Married At First Sight is back on the small screen. The show’s experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Rachel DeAlto and Pastor Calvin Roberson heads to Chicago. Out of the thousands that applied, the experts chooses six singles to get married at first sight. International Business Times reports that apart from its new show location, the reality series has also moved networks.

Married At First Sight Season 5 Premieres On Lifetime

Previously with FYI, Married At First Sight Season 5 will air its premiere episode on Lifetime. The outlet notes that the series still has the same premise. The relationship experts pair “two strangers that look perfect on paper, they marry without ever meeting each other.” The three married couples have six weeks to figure out if they want to stay married or not.

People Magazine reports that they exclusively got the details of Married At First Sight Season 5’s participants. These are Antony D’Amico, 30-year-old Ashley Petta, Cody Knapek, Danielle Degroot, Nate Duhon and Sheila Downs. The source notes that these six brave singles gave their trust to the three experts to find them the partner they would want to spend the rest of their life with.

D’Amico is a 33-year-old sales and marketing professional who is ready to start a family with his future wife. On the other hand, Downs wants the experts to pair her with someone that has the same values just like her: family-oriented and career-focused. The outlet notes that she looks up to her parents as her “models of a marriage to strive for.”

Meanwhile, 26-year-old Duhon wants to marry someone who shares his religious values and is willing to attend church with him. The outlet notes that Married At First Sight Season 5 Petta’s last relationship came to an end because her partner is not yet ready to start a family with her. The restaurant manager gives the experts her full trust that they can find her someone that wants to start a family as soon as possible.

The last two MAFS Season 5 cast members to complete the list is Knapek and Degroot. Knapek wants someone who has “a great personality and loves to laugh.” On the other hand, Degroot wants an intelligent partner with a great sense of humor.

Married At First Sight Season 5 will air its premiere episode on April 20 at 8 PM on Lifetime. After the first episode, the show’s timeslot will change to 9 PM.
