How To Get Away With Murder Season 3: Nate Could’ve Killed Wes

How To Get Away With Murder takes a darker turn and it’s actually another reason why so may are hooked on the show. Last week, the episode showed Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) out from jail, Wes’ (Alfred Enoch) body missing, and Nate Lahey being suspected of killing Wes.

Actor Says HTGAWM Season 3 Will Only Get Darker

In a report from E! News, actor Billy Brown, who plays Nate Lahey on the show, just dropped some bad news. “I can say it gets darker and more treacherous and there’s more suspects than ever,” the actor told the publication.

“Whatever Nate has been forced to deal with and made to confront up until now, it gets darker and more twisted and more testing for him to keep his cool and remain on course,” Brown said. “All of these forces are really trying to pull him off of where he needs to be and ultimately derail him.” While the DA is pinning the transfer of Wes’ body on Nate, it seems like it’s another frame up against the detective.

“In all areas, when Nate has been up against it, it’s been his own motivation to press on, move forward. If he has to go it alone, so be it. He will not crumble upon the weight they have placed on his shoulders. All the most recent actions from the forged signature to other suspicions with the [medical examiner] have emboldened to stay on this trajectory and do what he needs to go to get where he’s headed next,” Brown explained.

How To Get Away With Murder Season 3 Spoilers: Did Nate Kill Wes?

Interestingly, Variety sat down with Brown for an exclusive interview after last week’s crazy turn of events. Speaking if Nate had anything to do with Wes’ murder, the actor teased how nothing is “ever safe” on the show. “Every image is possibly loaded with subtext and possibilities. At face value, Nate Lahey is as much a suspect as anyone else from Frank (Charlie Weber) to the Mahoneys,” he said.

Variety then asked outright who Brown thought was responsible for Wes’ murder. Surprisingly, he confessed that he only liked to know “as little as possible” about the show, finding things out as they happen to shoot for the scene. However, he does reveal who he thinks killed the recently-revealed baby daddy. “Frank and the Mahoney family are some primary suspects in detective Lahey’s sights,” he said.

How to Get Away With Murder season 3 airs Thursdays at 10 PM on ABC.
