Grey’s Anatomy Sandra Oh left Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital back in 2014. Now, fans of ABC’s medical drama series are excited to find out if indeed the actress is returning to the show. Oh recently appeared on Access Hollywood Live where she dished if Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) will reunite with her best friend once again!
Grey’s Anatomy Sandra Oh Talks About Her Return
According to Entertainment Weekly, Oh made an appearance with her Catfight co-star Anne Heche on Access Hollywood Live. During the interview, co-hosts Natalie Morales and Kit Hoover asked the actress if she would ever return to Grey’s Anatomy.
“At this point… No, I dont think so,” the 45-year-old star admitted. “I just don’t know. It would have to feel right.”
However, not all hope is lost as Oh also revealed how she recently talked to show creator Shonda Rhimes about having an option to bring her back on the show.
In case Oh does not come back, she would not be the only Grey’s Anatomy cast member who abruptly left. Oh’s co-stars who previously left the show include Katherine Heigl (who played Izzie) and Sara Ramirez (who played Dr. Callie Torres). Not long ago, Ramirez made headlines when she lashed out at ABC over their decision to let a bisexual comment land into a scene of The Real O’Neals which she found particularly offensive.

Grey’s Anatomy Sandra Oh Grateful For GA Experience
In 2014, her character was written out, with Yang “going to work abroad.” Oh previously won a Golden Globe for her performance as Christina Yang on Grey’s Anatomy.
“As an actor, as an artist, it’s a full life that one has. And as I look back to that time, which is extremely important and deeply meaningful to me, and it means a lot to me that a whole new generation, a new generation of fans are discovering the show. So it means a lot,” Oh said.
Oh made it very clear just how important the show was to her during the time in which she was still a part of the Shondaland family. Despite her exit from the show, fans are still hopeful that one day, she will come back, even if it only happens in just one episode.
