The wait for Game of Thrones Season 7 may take a little longer, but speculations just got more interesting. Reports are now making rounds stating that a well-hated character, who very much met his demise, is actually making a return in the upcoming season.
Walden Frey, the character responsible for the gruesome murder of Catelyn Stark, Rob, and Rob’s wife Talisa will appear in the upcoming season. Fans are now wondering what his return means for the rest of the characters on the show.
Game of Thrones season 7 spoilers: Walden Frey returns
Everyone knows how brutal the HBO drama series is, but it shook fans when Walden Frey did what he did in the third season. In the episode entitled Red Wedding, Frey massacred three of the show’s most loved characters and everyone wanted to virtually avenge them. Thankfully, by the end of season 6, Arya Stark did this for fans by slitting his throat.
Now, a report from The Huffington Post revealed that Frey is actually returning in season 7. It is not clear though if he is coming back in a series of flashback scenes or in a scene where Arya will wear his face. This update also confirms fan theories on the show’s story line that was leaked earlier on.

Game of Thrones season 7 spoilers: Arya’s revenge; Jon Snow-Daenerys relationship
Another report from The Insider explains the fan theory, being credited to Redditor awayfromthelads. Rumors were rife saying that with Arya’s face-swapping expertise, she could soon assume Walden Frey’s identity and pose as the much-hated villain. With her new identity, she can kill more of Frey’s sons to avenge the death of her family.
While these leaks are supposed to be taken with a grain of salt, they are seem to slowly make sense. Recently, photos surfaced online showing Jon Snow who is also indeed bringing a wight to Westeros. However, the Jon Snow-Daenerys Targaryen love affair seems vague for now. It was speculated that the two could actually be related, but talking about a rumored relationship for them just seems strange. And cringe-worthy too.
Followers of the show are always in for a surprise! So author George R. R. Martin will have jaws drop on the floor if Jon and Daenerys end up being together!
