Game of Thrones Season 7: It’s Time For Lady Stoneheart To Appear

There’s something about the death of Catelyn Stark back in Season 3 that does not seem to resonate well with fans. Considering that this series killed off almost half of its most important characters, you think fans would get used to it. Still, they are hopeful they’ll get to see Lady Stoneheart in Game of Thrones Season 7.

For those of you who have not read George R. Martin’s five-part A Song of Ice and Fire series, Lady Stoneheart is the resurrected Lady Catelyn Stark. In the books, her character was introduced in the third part, A Storm of Swords. Together with what’s remaining of Beric Dondarrion’s rebels, she exacted revenge from the Freys.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Has No Plans For Lady Stoneheart

When her character was killed off during Season 3’s Red Wedding, fans of the books remained calm. After all, they thought they’re going to see Lady Stoneheart in the next season. But alas, we’re now in Game of Thrones Season 7, and there is still no word if Lady Stoneheart will ever make her debut.

Earlier last year, there were fan theories that instead of a resurrected Catelyn Stark, we’ll get to see a Lord Stoneheart instead. Lord Stoneheart will be, of course, Robb Stark (not Ned Stark, sorry guys). But Richard Madden (who played Robb in the series) said he has not heard anything about this.

Even if there is a plan to resurrect Robb’s character, Madden said he’s sure he wouldn’t just get a phone call about it. The production behind Game of Thrones is very secretive about everything. Fans, the actor said, also don’t want to know what’s going to happen in the series because it will break the surprise.

Don’t expect Lady Stoneheart or Lord Stoneheart to appear anytime soon because Michelle Fairley, who played the character, landed a role in The White Princess. She’s also shopping for other roles, which signifies the end of an actor’s run in a series.

Why Game of Thrones Season 7 Needs Lady Stoneheart

The Starks are finally reuniting again—something Lady Stark has devoted the last days of her life to happen. If she has been resurrected, she could finally be with her girls—Sansa and Arya—again. Maybe, she’ll even forgive Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and find out with him who his real parents are.

But alas, we don’t think Lady Stoneheart will appear in Game of Thrones Season 7 even if it’s going to make for good TV.
