The friendship between Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) has been widely admired by the fans of Game of Thrones Season 7. So, when Jon had to go and be the King of the North, many were disappointed that Sam couldn’t be with him. But now, the HBO hit fantasy series is teasing a reunion between these two characters.
Currently, the cast of GoT is filming for Season 7. There are no details yet of what will happen in the seventh season since the book on which this was based on has not arrived on shelves yet. Fans must simply content themselves with shared pictures and leaked photos from a variety of sources.
Game of Thrones Season 7 will show a Sam-Jon reunion?
A fan-run website called Watchers on the Wall recently shared photos of Sam, Gilly (Hannah Murray), and their son bundled up in a horse chariot and on their way out of Oldtown. As quoted by IB Times, the website speculated that the couple is heading to the North to meet Jon in Game of Thrones Season 7. In their last scenes in Season 6, Sam and Gilly reached Citadel.
Then, the couple also saw the release of the white ravens, which means that winter has finally arrived in the realm. In the leaked photos, Gilly and the baby were seen bundled up in “winter clothing” while Sam holds the reins of the house. It is believed that they are heading back to the North because their clothing is prepared for the cold weather ahead.
This may be mere speculations for now, but there’s certainly reason to believe the fan website. It is because this was the same one that showed leaked photos of Jon and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), as well as that of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). They have also been giving fans clues what to expect for Season 7.
Sam-Jon reunion in Episodes 4 and 5?
Another speculation is that the reunion between Jon and his loyal friend, Sam, will happen in Episodes 4 and 5. This was based on the leaked photo of director Matt Shakman in the same location where Sam and Gilly were snapped. Shakman is directing Episodes 4 and 5 of the seventh season.
For months, fans have been speculating that Sam will play a pivotal role in Game of Thrones Season 7-8. In fact, he may be the one to discover how to defeat the Night’s King and the White Walkers.
