Bojack Horseman Selected To Compete For Annecy 2017; A Fan Suggests Show’s Ending

Great news, BoJack Horseman fans! Your favorite animated series got selected to compete at the 2017 Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Moreover, a Redditor writes a possible series’ ending that caught the attention of BoJack viewers.

BoJack Horseman To Compete At The Annecy 2017

BoJack Horseman adds another possible nomination to its belt. Animation World Network reports that the Raphael Bob-Waksberg series was selected to compete at the Annecy 2017. This festival is a competition between cartoon films of various techniques.

The outlet notes that BoJack Horseman’s Fish Out of Water episode will compete against Cartoon Network’s Clarence and Nickelodeon’s The Loud House for the TV Film category. Getting nominated and winning awards are nothing new for Netflix’s BoJack Horseman. The show had won awards for Best Animated series in the 2016 Critic’s Choice Television Awards and another in the 2017 Writers Guild of America Award.

Meanwhile, fans continue to wait for Netflix to announced the confirmed release date for BoJack Horseman Season 4. The adult animated series aired its third season on July 22, 2016.

Fan Suggests BoJack Horseman Ending

While waiting, a Redditor posted what he thinks is a “fitting end” to the series, should Season 4 be the show’s last. Reddit user lost_idol posted on the group discussion that he thinks the series should end with all the characters finding their own happiness without BoJack in it.

The Reddit user said that Mr. Peanut Butter and Diane will sort out their problems after a big fight. Once they kiss and makeup, they will decide to have a kid of their own. On the other hand, Todd will get into a relationship with the girl who had a crush on him. They will have a weird but happy relationship together. According to lost_idol, BoJack will realize this but goes along with his friends’ plan.

Moreover, while they have a happy life on their own, BoJack will lose his house and everything that he owns, except for the scrapbook that Todd did. While he drinks the last drop of bourbon, he tries to stand up but drops the scrapbook. The failed poster of the Secretariat falls out of the scrapbook and he looks at it, a tear drops out of his eye and he smiles.

After the screen goes black and when it returns, paramedics will be all over the place. In the midst of all the chaos, BoJack has a smile on his face and finally, “he has come to peace within himself.” Redditors commended the user for the ending though some did point out that the ending is a bit depressing. Reddit user CardCaptorJorge said that he liked the theory because the ending “seems plausible” and is exactly what BoJack would do.

Previous seasons of BoJack Horseman are still streaming on Netflix. Do you agree with the possible ending for the series? Share your thoughts with us!
