How many debates have we had about Big Bang Theory canceled rumors? That just goes to show how much fans are looking forward to Season 11. Thankfully, that might be more possible now than a few months ago.
Back in 2016, CBS and the stars of Big Bang Theory seemed to have reached an impasse in contract negotiations. The contracts of the series’ “Big 3”—Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, and Johnny Galecki—are due to expire by the end of Season 10.
Big Bang Theory Canceled News May Be Reversed Now
Last month, CBS President Glenn Geller gave us hope that Big Bang Theory canceled news may not be true at all. According to him, they are now under negotiating with the cast’s agents about renewal of contracts. “We are in negotiations, but it is definitely business as usual. We are guardedly optimistic that we will make a deal.”
That phrase “guardedly optimistic” is giving fans a mini heart attack, but we should take what we can get, right? It is never easy to reach an agreement when your stars are asking for more than $1-million-per-episode contract. They agreed to a $1-million-per-episode deal back in 2014.
Geller said there’s no timetable to finish the negotiations with the three stars. What he is sure is they want them all back. So, there might be no Season 11 if Parsons, Cuoco, and Galecki won’t come back?
It is, of course, impossible for Big Bang Theory to continue without Parsons. His catchphrase “Bazinga!” was the turning point for the series to become a global phenomenon. In fact, a recent poll found out that 80% of the viewers won’t watch anymore if Parsons will walk away.
What Will Happen In Season 11?
Since there is renewed hope that we’ll get to see the stars back for Season 11, fans are now free to speculate. What will happen in Season 11, anyway? With 10 decades under its belt, does Big Bang Theory still have more to give?
According to some fan theories, we’ll get to see Amy’s parents meet Sheldon and his friends while Howard and Bernadette begin their family journey. Of course, it’s also possible that Sheldon will propose to Amy and they’ll have the geekiest wedding of all.
Penny and Leonard will also continue living together. And who knows? Maybe more wedding bells are on the horizon for the Big Bang Theory cast.
What we’re sure of is that if CBS finally announces that the Big Bang Theory canceled news are nothing more than rumors, then fans will have a party like the aftermath of the Super Bowl.
