We haven’t properly heard the phrase “You’re fired!” from Donald Trump since his The Apprentice days. But that’s probably what Craige Deare heard Friday, shortly before he was escorted out of the Executive Office Building in Washington. Deare was supposedly sacked for criticizing the Trump administration’s policies on Latin America, as well as making lewd and “awkward” remarks about Donald’s daughter Ivanka.
Deare was initially appointed by Donald Trump himself a month ago as the head of the of the National Security Council’s Western Hemisphere Division. He attended a private talk at the Wilson Center in Washington, where he made the remarks in question. Senior white House Officials have since confirmed that he no longer works with the White House.
To Build Or Not To Build
Reportedly, some of Craig Dear’s critical remarks on Trump involved the kind of relationship his administration was building with Mexico. Since his campaigning season, Trump promised to build a wall along the US’ southern border, a movement meant to discourage the entry of illegal immigrants from their neighbor. He has since started to make good on that promise – an explanation from the White House even suggested that “wall” may not be just be a literal wall.

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto has since cancelled a planned Washington trip in late January, according to the MailOnline. Much of Trump’s original campaign also suggested that he would press Mexico to pay for the “wall.”
Notably, Deare made remarks about the attractiveness of Ivanka Trump, which were “awkward”. The exact words that Craig Deare used in reference to the 35-year-old businesswoman and model were not shared. However, they were hinted to be of a lewd and inappropriate nature, prompting Trump to fire him.
Earlier, Donald Trump himself commented on his daughter’s attractiveness. Back in 2006 on The View, he said that “If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps, I would be dating her.” The same year, he said on the Howard Stern Show, “she’s actually always been very voluptuous.” In a 2015 Rolling Stones interview, Trump also praised his daughter’s looks, saying, “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father…”
Craig Dear’s sacking makes him the second official from the National Security Council to leave within a week. Just last Feb. 13, NSC head Michael Flynn resigned amidst controversy. As per the revelations, Flynn had lied about his previous dealings with the Russian ambassador.
