Katelyn Nicole Davis Suicide Video: Rape Allegations Against Stepfather Not Given Enough Attention

The chilling suicide video of a young girl has gone viral. Sadly, the police say there is nothing they can do to stop it. But what about Katelyn Nicole Davis’ allegations that her stepfather physically and sexually abused her? Can the authorities do something on these accusations?

Katelyn Nicole Davis, a 12-year-old from Georgia, streamed her own suicide on Dec. 30, after saying she had been sexually abused by her stepfather. She took to Facebook Live how she hanged herself in the front yard of her Cedartown home.

Wetpaint has reported that Katelyn wrote disturbing entries on her blog Diary of a Broken Doll before committing the unthinkable, including one about the abuses she received from her stepfather. She wrote this disturbing post on Dec. 27:

“My stepfather physically, mentally, and verbally abused me. My stepfather struck me with his leather belt that, making sure the studs hit me. He hit me so hard, my arm started to bleed. He even tried to rape me.”

Many of her videos and blog entries have been shared online following her death. The videos an insight on her strained relationship with her mother and stepfather. Davis’ blog entries allude to her mom Tammy Michelle Roger’s drug use and her tendency to bring home other men.

A report from Coosa Valley News mentions that Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd said that the investigations have already begun. However, as of Wednesday, no charges have been filed yet.

The GBI is yet to complete Davis’ autopsy. Until then, we pray and hope that the truth will come out.  Katelyn deserves her justice.

On a tangent, valiant social media users have taken their own efforts to communicate with Davis’ stepdad Anthony. There are rumors that he took over the young girl’s Facebook account after she committed suicide.

The chilling blog posts and videos that Davis uploaded before she took her own life are strong pieces evidence for a potential case. In the meantime, the department is doing its best to work diligent to take the video down. Many social media users are instead posting tributes.
