Rapper Tory Lanez is in the headlines for being caught with a substantial amount of marijuana and firearm, which reports say was unloaded during his arrest.
Tory Lanez: Caught In The Wrong Lane
According to NY Daily News, the hip-hop music star was arrested on a weapons charge in the area of South Florida. According to reports, he was pulled over after police noticed that he had an expired dealer tag on a vehicle reported to be a 2014 Rolls-Royce.
The rapper did not also have a valid license to be driving in the United States, and when the car was searched, authorities found less than 20 grammes of marijuana and an unloaded firearm. The same report also states that the 24-year old was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, operating a vehicle without a license or insurance and marijuana possession.
He was later released after he posted bail amounting to $1,000. His lawyer says that he will be “fully exonerated.”
This isn’t his first legal issue as venue and concert promoters considered legal actions against the rapper after a riot was incited on March 26, 2016 in his concert in Midland, Texas. He had a conflict with security and then he told the crowd present there to “F*** s*** up.” This caused police to shut down the event.
