Rain Comeback: Fans Are Still Waiting

It has been more than two years since veteran KPop singer-actor Rain released anything. The last one was a full-length studio album back in 2014. 2017 has arrived and fans rejoiced when news of Rain comeback was announced.

Rain is known for being one of the most versatile acts in KPop. He can sing, dance, and act. His album It’s Raining sold over a million copies prior to its release in 2005, making Rain one of the top idols in KPop. One of his most popular dramas was Full House, where he starred with Song Hye Kyo. He also acted in Ninja Assassin in 2009, where he won an MTV Movie Award. He was the first Korean to have won in the said event.

Rain Comeback: What Has Been Confirmed So Far

Rain teased his fans about a comeback when he appeared as a guest in Psy’s “PSYdrenaline” concert. During his performance, a video played behind Rain, showing the words “Rain x Psy”. The collaboration was confirmed during Rain’s The Squall Tour in Singapore. Soompi reported that the singer-actor said that his new album will be released on Jan. 15. In addition to that, Psy will be producing an R&B ballad for him. The album will also be available in the Mandarin language.

It is still unknown whether Psy will be featured in the song. Fans will have to wait for the song’s release to see if the Gangnam Style singer will be present in the new Rain comeback.

Rain Comeback and Other Activities

Aside from a new album, Rain shared that he will be starring in a Chinese drama. He will be starring alongside Victoria Song of the girl group f(x). The drama, which is called Diamond Lover, will premier in Viki on Jan. 9. When asked about working with Victoria, Rain praised her for being an “active and lovely girl”.
