War for the Planet of the Apes, the third installment of the Apes franchise just dropped a new trailer that promises an action-packed flick. It is said that part three takes action to a higher level, and will deliver no less than its predecessors.
War for the Planet of the Apes Trailer
The 20th Century Fox-produced film sets up what looks like to be a huge battle between humans and apes in the series. It opens with Caesar (voiced by Andy Serkis) and a group of apes on horseback along a beach telling that they did not want to start a war. Meanwhile, a group of soldiers are seen entering a dark cave in search of and to capture the leader of the apes, in between an exchange of gunfire, as humans and soldiers go head-to-head in battle.

War for the Planet of the Apes Plot
“This is our last stand,” the stern-looking villain known as the Colonel (Woody Harrelson) utters as he searches for Caesar. Seeing the amount of “combat and carnage” seen in the teaser, the man-against-animal battle finally puts everything on the line.
Moviegoers must brace themselves, as a report from Game Spot calls the battle an “epic showdown.” The official synopsis even mentions how Caesar and his followers are “forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel.”
Previous movies showed how the “apes suffered unimaginable losses.” Now, with the plight of his follower’s future on the line, Caesar’s “darker instincts” come into play. Will he be able to avenge his kind against the injustices they suffered?
