Tangled Sequel Trailer: Rapunzel’s Pretty Hair Grows Back!

The smash hit movie Tangled won the hearts of many in 2010 when it first hit theaters. Now, everyone is excited once again after Disney released Tangled sequel trailer on Friday. Everybody’s favorite long-haired princess is swinging back into action after almost seven years of waiting for another movie. The sequel, entitled Tangled: Before Ever After will be an animated film that will premiere on Disney Channel in March right before Tangled: The Series does.

Tangled Sequel Trailer: Rapunzel is Reunited with her Hair

The follow up will still feature Hollywood stars Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi to voice Rapunzel and Eugene. At the end of the last movie, Rapunzel’s yards of golden hair are cut off by Flynn Rider aka Eugene. This marked the film’s climax when her beautiful golden locks were chopped off.

In the trailer though, fans will be happy to know that Rapunzel has her long flowy tresses back. See for yourself in the new trailer for the TV movie. The official description even reads, “You may think you know Rapunzel’s story, but find out what happens before ever after.”

Tangled Sequel Trailer: Cast, Storyline, Release Date

A report from Just Jared reveals how the story will center on Rapunzel figuring out how to get back to before.

“Did you see  the 70 feet of ‘my-father’s-going-to-kill-me’ growing from my  head?” She asks after the long locks suddenly reappear on her head. Funnily, when Rapunzel tries to have it cut off, the pair of scissors shatters on contact. In the new movie, Broadway star Eden Espinosa has also been roped in. She will join the cast as Cassandra, Rapunzel’s handmaiden and confidante.

The sequel will also mark the return of Jeffrey Tambor as Big Nose, M.C. Gainey as Captain of the Guards, and Paul F. Tompkins as Shorty (aka the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs). The movie’s voice cast is albeit an impressive slate! Interestingly, Slash Film also points out that the upcoming  film will have new songs composed by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater. Expect catchy new tunes again this March!
