Star Wars Episode 8 Trailer Release Possibly In April; Finn’s New Mission Revealed!

The upcoming Star Wars Episode 8 may just give fans a glimpse of what they can expect in December. Apparently, the Lucasfilm announced on Feb. 15 that they will have “plenty of surprises and special guests” for the annual Star Wars Celebration fan gathering. Meanwhile, theories about John Boyega’s Finn hints that he will have a new “undercover mission.”

Rogue One‘s theatrical release last year has definitely made Star Wars fanatics look forward to the franchise’s upcoming movie. Entertainment Weekly reports that there is a big possibility that Lucasfilm will release the trailer for Star Wars Episode 8 at the annual fan gathering happening on April 14 in Orlando, Florida.

The movie outfit announced on Feb. 15 that studio chief Kathleen Kennedy and The Last Jedi’s writer and director, Rian Johnson will grace the event. Moreover, the outlet notes that Lucasfilm announced that they will be “accompanied by plenty of surprises and special guests.”

The annual Star Wars Celebration has always been an eventful day for the franchise’s supporters. A testament to that was when the company released “major footage reveals” for the previous Star Wars film at the event. Meanwhile, fans will have to wait for future announcements about the wristband and wait-lines details for the upcoming convention in Florida. Lucasfilm will release more information near to the convention date.

Finn To Be An Undercover?

In other Star Wars Episode 8 news, /FILM reports that fan site, Making Star War released the latest speculation on The Last Jedi storyline. According to the source, Finn (John Boyega) will be on the Star Destroyer as an undercover First Order officer. Moreover, there is a possibility that he will seek the help of Kelly Marie Tran’s character to plant explosives.

It was also teased that actor Tom Hardy may exchange a few words with Finn. Hard, who will suit up as a Stormtrooper, will recognize his former co-worker and would assume that Finn got promoted. As the outlet notes, the plot released by the fan website has to be taken with a grain of salt until the movie is officially released.

Star Wars Episode 8 is the second installment of the Star Wars trilogy that follows Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens. This movie is produced by Walt Disney and Lucasfilm. Moreover, the franchise’s cast members Luke Hamilton, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Boyega, and Lupita Nyong’o will reprise their roles in Episode 8.
