Finally, after months of waiting, the Star Wars Episode 8 crew unveiled the first trailer of the movie at the Orlando convention. In the almost two-minute trailer, fanatics will also get a glimpse of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia.
Star Wars Episode 8 Trailer Released!
Star Wars fanatics can’t hide their excitement that the Star Wars franchise finally unveils the first Episode 8 trailer! Director Rian Johnson headed the release at the Star Wars event in Orlando. Metro reported that the opening scene of the trailer shows Rey (Daisy Ridley) getting her training from Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).
The next scene shows Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia who seems to be hatching up a plan for their next attack. This is the only scene where Fisher was shown in the trailer. The outlet notes that the family gave the film permission to use the footage she filmed for the movie before her sad demise.
In the next few scenes, viewers will hear Rey’s voice as she tries to enumerate what she sees. Ridley’s character first mentions light then darkness and lastly, balance. A picturesque view follows where viewers can see Rey’s silhouette training with the sword while Luke looks on.
Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren also appeared in the trailer with a blazing sword in hand. At the end of the trailer, Luke says these words: “It’s time for the Jedi to end.” This teaser made fans excited to see the movie by December.
