Spider-Man Homecoming updates: Spidey part of MCU, sequel in the works?
Another report from The Independent justified the hype surrounding the new trailer. Marvel and Sony will “share” rights to the character. That “integrates” him within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The source notes that a sequel is already in the works. It is tentatively slated for a July 2019 release. Meanwhile, the standalone Spider-Man flick is part of a “six-picture deal that includes three solo films & three other appearances within the MCU.”
Many speculate that the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War will be one of them. Spider-Man Homecoming tells the story of young Peter Parker. He will prove himself worthy of Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) appreciation. As per reports, the movie will show his journey to becoming an Avenger.
Spider-Man Homecoming will hit the theaters in July of 2017.
