Fifty Shades Darker Trailer Shows New Steamy Elevator Scene And More

The second Fifty Shades Darker trailer was unveiled recently. The fans of the movie adaptation of the E. L. James-penned novel just got more excited with the movie coming out two months from now.

The new trailer offers an even more passionate look at what the BDSM-loving Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) will be doing in time for Valentine’s Day, that pretty much leaves nothing to the imagination.

Fifty Shades Darker trailer preview

The new Fifty Shades Darker trailer was released last Wednesday, a report from Wired revealed. Moreover, the new franchise puts James Foley at the helm of directorial duties and the teaser represented much “strip-downs” and “dressing-downs” as both Christian and Ana mutually come to an agreement regarding their “damaged-good romance.”

The trailer shows the billionaire telling his lover how he wants her back but “isn’t very good” with apologizing. He then says how he never wanted to try again. To which, Ana, bathed in confidence and sultriness, steps up and says, “No more rules, no more secrets.”

The second installment of the raunchy franchise is what The Huffington Post calls a “homecoming” for the on-screen pair. It shows Christian and Ana reconciling before deciding to face challenges together as a couple once again.

Compared to the first trailer where the masquerade ball is focused on, the second one drops hints about Christian’s rival, Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson). Similarly, Ana’s brooding new boss and Christian’s former lover Leila (Bella Heathcote) is also introduced.

Fifty Shades Darker cast

Fifty Shades Darker returns with old and new stars alike. The returning cast includes Marcia Gay Harden (Christian’s mom), Rita Ora (Christian’s sister Mia), Luke Grimes (Christian’s brother Elliot), and Max Martini (Christian’s bodyguard).

Meanwhile, Hannibal‘s Hugh Dancy will be portraying the role of Christian Grey’s psychiatrist, Dr. John Flynn. Ana’s new boss Jack will be played by Smallville‘s Eric Johnson, and on-screen author Boyce Fox will be played by Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin.

No movie is a good one without baddies, and Kim Bassinger is playing the role of Christian Grey’s ex Elena, and as previously mentioned, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies’ Bella Heathcote is playing the obsessive Leila.

Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters in time for Valentine’s Day next year.
