Today, a new Fifty Shades Darker trailer was released and has gotten fans hyped up once again. The upcoming sequel of the E. L. James-penned movie adaptation is set to hit theaters next month in time for Valentine’s Day.
While fans already saw the film’s previous trailers and teasers, the newest one, which was previewed during the airing of ABC’s The Bachelor, just set the temperature to a sweltering degree.
Fifty Shades Darker trailer teases intense scenes
The new trailer is an extended one of the previously released version. In it, Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) is trying to get Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) back. Just like taking small steps to something you want, Ana agrees to have dinner with him — simply because she’s hungry. Or so she says. “This time, no rules,” says Anastasia. “No punishments, and no more secrets.”
The two minute-long trailer is set to the sensual sounds of Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik’s recently unveiled track entitled I Don’t Wanna Live Forever. It opens with Christian trying to talk to Ana while offering her a bouquet of roses. The trailer teases immensely, with glimpses of light banter, heavy petting, and an undeniably sultry elevator scene.

While the trailer shows a potential reunion between Christian and Anastasia, it also makes fans curious with the appearance of several characters from Christian’s past. For instance, Kim Basinger is playing the role of Elena Lincoln, Christian’s former boss and lover. The trailer features a sound byte of Ana presumably telling Ana how Christian “has changed,” to which Elena is quite doubtful.
Moreover, US Magazine also reports that Bella Heathcote will play the role of Christian’s psycho ex Leila Williams. The trailer shows Leila making strange appearances in between scenes to which Ana thinks she is just being delusional until Leila holds up a gun when she finds out Ana and Christian are rekindling their romance.
Fifty Shades Darker trailer features stellar cast and production team
Other stars who have been roped in for the sequel include Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Eloise Mumford, Marcia Gay Harden, Eric Johnson, Victor Rauk, and Jennifer Ehle. James Foley will be directing the Fifty Shades sequel. Get your Valentine’s date ready. Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters on Feb. 10. Meanwhile, a third film, entitled “Fifty Shades Freed,” has also already landed a Feb. 9, 2018, release date.
