The latest Camp Rock 3 news reveals that the movie’s lead stars will do the threequel on one condition: it has to be an adult film. The Jonas brothers and Demi Lovato do have a storyline should Disney decide to make the threequel a reality.
It’s been seven years since Camp Rock 2 was released, yet the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato fans are still hopeful to see them reunite for Camp Rock‘s threequel. Finally, Joe Jonas speaks up and even shared what the group thinks will be a good storyline for the movie.
Joe Jonas Wants Camp Rock 3 To Be Dark
Hollywood Life reports that the 27-year-old Jonas teased fans that he is willing to do the threequel “if it made sense.” The outlet notes that Joe, Nick, and Lovato want to cater to a more adult theme for Camp Rock.
“It would be funny to do a spin on it. Do the graduating days, make it kinda dark,” said the former Jonas Brother member. Even though they want to do a darker version, they all agree that it’s not going to be an R-rated film.
The outlet opined that a more adult storyline is a great idea. This is because the gang will be reuniting during their senior year in college. With this in mind, the college scene means a lot of hook-ups and parties! Moreover, Camp Rock’s supporters are somewhat the same age as Mitchie (Lovato), Shane (Joe) and Nate (Nick). The idea of tackling adult topics is probably the best way forward.

Is Joe Just Teasing Fans Or Is Camp Rock 3 Happening?
E! News reported that speculations of a possible Camp Rock reunion sparked when the DNCE frontman shared an Instagram photo with Lovato three weeks ago. Joe captioned the photo with “CR3?” The post quickly garnered more than 678,000 likes (and counting).
The latter report noted that to date, Camp Rock is still “Disney’s third highest viewed movie program of all time.” It was in 2008 when the first movie was released where 8.9 million viewers watch the movie’s premiere. Moreover, retail stores like Target, Claires, and Limited Too sold Camp Rock merchandise from clothing to bags and even beddings.
After two years, Disney released the sequel titled Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. The said movie took home the 2011 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Family TV Movie. Meanwhile, the initial report noted that an insider said that Lovato wants to do the threequel. Moreover, the source noted that the Skyscraper singer thinks “revisiting Camp Rock will be hilarious.”
