With Avatar 2 release drawing to a close, actor Sam Worthington recently revealed that the sequel will be more awesome. Apparently, the film has been dubbed as an upcoming family saga paired with stunning visual effects. It has previously been reported that there will be four more movies after the first installment came out in 2009. Find out why you should be marking your calendars in time for this year’s end to catch one of the most highly anticipated films!
Avatar 2 Will Be A Family Saga
According to a report from Coming Soon, lead star Sam Worthington recently dished a lot about the upcoming flick. Worthington reveals that the Avatar 2 will show Jake Sully years down the road after he was last seen in the 2009 hit.
“This is going to be Jake eight years later, and he’s got a family now. This film is going to be like nothing you’ve ever seen. The world is bigger than the first one, but essentially, it’s a movie about family. Jake will still have that essence of a kid seeing the world for the first time, but he’s been living in the world for a while now, so what’s this world he’s seeing now for the first time? The film will explore that within this family dynamic,” Worthington said.

Avatar 2 Director James Cameron ‘Perfected’ The Script
Last month, Cameron spoke about the great deal of work he’s putting across for the Avatari sequels. “There’s a layer of complexity in getting the story to work as a saga across three films that you don’t get when you’re making a stand-alone film.” To make fans more excited, Worthington even revealed how director Cameron made sure that the scripts were perfect.
“The plan is to have some time in between, I think, but these things are always ambiguous until they start. We’re still set to start in the summer, though. James needed time to perfect the scripts. Whenever he says jump I go because he’s the man. I’ve read all the scripts, they’re great,” he said.
20th Century Fox previously announced that the first of the Avatar sequels will hit theaters in December 2018. There more films are expected to come out in December 2020, 2022, and 2023. The cast are set to reprise their roles, with the returning cast including Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang.
