There is nothing wrong with being single on Valentine’s Day. Besides, that day is all about commemorating love. Going on a solo date is a perfect way to celebrate on Feb. 14. Because, let’s be honest, you are celebrating love with no one but the most important person in the world: you.
Solo Date Ideas So You’ll Love Yourself Even More

Mini Road Trip
Road trip is fun with your closest friends and family. But a solo road trip? It has its own set of perks. Going on a road trip is never boring. Besides, you will not feel lonely because you’ll be so busy admiring the scenery and beauty of nature. And you will be able to appreciate your own company, especially if you are so used to being surrounded with people all the time. So get in your car and take a few hours or the whole day driving around so you can appreciate what Mother Nature offers us.
Take Precious Naps
If you don’t want a road trip, then that’s okay because there are still other options. Instead of going out, why not take a nap? Most of the people nowadays are tired and overworked. A nap will definitely help bring back the missing zzz’s. At least when you wake up, most of the day has passed anyway. You survived Valentine’s Day alone plus you are energized for work the next day.
Head Over To Your Favorite Pastry Shop
Nothing is better than eating sweets, especially on Valentine’s Day. Pastry shops overflow with cakes, cupcakes, and cookies every Feb. 14. And so what if there are couples waiting in line with you? Hold your head high and go buy your favorite desserts so you can enjoy them later. Or if you feel a little daring, try out desserts that you never had before. Who knows that the strange dessert in an unknown language will become your next favorite!
Then Go To Your Favorite Retail Store
After eating, head to your all-time favorite store. Go ahead and treat yourself to a new bag or shoes or a bunch of makeup and skincare products. Or go buy your favorite singer/band’s new album, a movie, or books that can help you spend the day immersed in another world. Just don’t go overboard with your credit card. The last thing you want to see is the big amount on your bill when you receive it at the end of the month.
A Slumber Party With Friends Is Nice, Too
Yes this is a list of solo date ideas but let’s be real here. Spending a night with your friends is one of the most awesome things ever. So go invite your single friends (because the taken ones are most likely busy with their boo) and have a slumber party! Watch tear jerking romance films or classic horror movies to keep you up all night. Don’t forget the snacks, drinks, and blanket forts!
Being Single Is Actually One Of The Best Things In Life…
Never, ever lament that you are single on Valentine’s Day whether it is by choice or circumstance. Don’t mind the couples who are going googly-eyed over each other on Feb. 14. What matters is, you are on a solo date with yourself and you’re learning that it’s more important to love yourself first over everything else.
