KPop Big Three: Plans For 2017 Already Revealed!

The KPop Big Three agencies – SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment – revealed their plans for 2017. Fans are excited to see what’s in store for their favorite idols. Even though majority are busy preparing for their end-of-the-year performances, it looks like the Holy Trinity of KPop is geared up and ready to face 2017.

There are only nine days left before 2016 officially ends. This year may be a rocky time for some artists, but it looks like next year could be a time for bigger and better comebacks.

According to a representative from SM Entertainment, their golden lineup will be back. Fans are already excited about TVXQ and Super Junior’s return after the members’ military enlistment. Activities have been prepared starting from the veterans TVXQ all the way to the rookie group NCT. S.E.S. is also expected to make a comeback next year. In addition to that, fans can also expect something big for the award-winning group EXO. There are no plans to debut another group under SM Entertainment in 2017.

YG Entertainment planned consistent promotions and comebacks in all of their active groups. Akdong Musician, BLACK PINK, WINNER and Psy are expected to release new music in 2017. YG artists will also hold concerts in various places. The only bad news is, BIG BANG members will focus on their individual activities for the mean time while member T.O.P completes his military service.

On the other hand, JYP Entertainment that GOT7 and TWICE will continue to make comebacks to carry on with their success this year. The groups are also expected to make domestic and international tours. There is also a planned solo debut for miss A’s vocalist and visual Suzy in January. The members of 2PM will continue with activities that include dramas and concerts until their military enlistments. Solo artists like Baek Ah Yeon and Baek Yerin will also be active next year.

What about the other talent agencies?

Apparently, the KPop Big Three are not the only ones who had big plans for their artists. Big Hit Entertainment, the home of Bangtan Boys, announced that there will be more efforts for BTS to be recognized globally.

Their Wings tour will begin in February, which will take place in the US, Chile, and Brazil. 2016 may be a great year for BTS and the agency hopes that 2017 will be bigger for the hip-hop boy group. Individual activities from each member may be expected as well like dramas and variety show appearances. With regards to a new idol group, Big Hit Entertainment said that the chances of debuting another group is slim as of the moment.

Pledis Entertainment will also be on the roll in 2017. According to the agency, boy group SEVENTEEN has fan meetings and concerts in line for them in 2017. The group will also continue to work hard on their music and performances. The long-awaited Pledis Girlz will also hold a concert in January before their official debut. Girl group After School members will focus on individual activities while urban electro band NU’EST will continue with their group and individual schedules.

With the KPop Big Three announcement, it looks like 2017 will be an exciting year for KPop!
