Disney World has just revealed major details about its upcoming Star Wars and Avatar-themed expansion to its Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom at its D23: Destination D event in Orlando, Florida during the weekend. Initially, news about this upcoming Star Wars expansion to Disney World had been broken more than a year ago. Guests learned that they would be transported to a different planet where they can ride popular ships such as the Millenium Falcon and roam around their worlds.

E! reports that both Disney World and Disneyland will be housing their own different versions of the expansion; but an opening date is not yet confirmed. As to when fans should expect this, they said that work is already underway for both parks.

Disney has unveiled a new image of a Star Wars expansion that is not yet named which shows what the proposed area will look like at night, which is a reversal of the previous artwork, writes Coming Soon. In addition to that, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek had announced that Walt Disney Imagineering and LucasFilm have already been working hard in adding new missions to Star Tours, which will feature some elements from the upcoming Star Wars movie.

As for Pandora, which will be Disney World’s Avatar-themed expansion, fans can already book their tickets as early as summer of 2017, which is when the park will open. This attraction will let guests enjoy two parts: the first being a canoe ride through a sacred river and Pandora’s signature attraction, which is the Avatar Flight of Passage. Pictures also show other areas in the attraction that include the Satu’li Canteen which houses Na’vi art and cultural items. It will also feature Pongu Pongu — a special drink location with an eclectic design.
