The Weeknd Selena Gomez kiss after dining at the Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica is causing all kinds of drama on social media. After the two were snapped smooching on Tuesday, Bella Hadid, The Weeknd’s girlfriend until November 2016, unfollowed Gomez on Instagram.
As seen in screenshots posted by fans, Hadid was still following Gomez, at 1:30PM on Wednesday. But less than two hours after that, as photos of the new couple emerged, the actress and singer got unfollowed. Bella is Gigi Hadid’s sister, who happens to be in Taylor Swift’s squad with Gomez.
The Weeknd Selena Gomez kiss may put a strain on the squad
Gomez and Hadid are no stranger to each other. They were even snapped together in September 2015 when they posed together with model sisters Suki and Immy Waterhouse. Gomez still follows the Victoria Secret model, only one of just 254 people that the former Disney star follows.

Hadid and The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, dated for two years until their split in November 2016. Also in that same month, The Weeknd performed during the Victoria Secret fashion show, where Hadid took the runway. It was a bit awkward for the exes, but they were such good sports about it.
Many fans were hoping that the two will get back together by the year’s end. They have been separated for just two months now, after all. This recent sighting with Gomez, however, may have just confirmed their worst fears—The Weeknd has finally moved on.
The Weeknd has a huge crush on Gomez
Sources said that the two started to hit it off before the holidays last December. But The Weeknd has long been eyeing Gomez. He apparently has a huge crush on her, and thinks she’s sexy and very talented.
When they performed during the VS fashion show in November 2015, he sang praises about Gomez. But at that time, he was still dating Hadid.
The Weeknd Selena Gomez kiss is the first issue Gomez will face, following her therapy from a Tennessee clinic. She checked into the facility to treat her anxiety and depression, side effects of her lupus.
