Steve Carell just played with the feelings of billions of fans of The Office. The hit comedy series is still a point of reference even after so many years. So a tweet from Michael Scott aka Carell gave rise to expectations of thousands of people who were waiting for the show to return.
Steve Carell took to Twitter to tweet about what everyone has been waiting to hear something about the show for years. He tweets about The Office returning to NBC. Imagine the brouhaha over it.
Steve Carell Trolls The Entire World With One Tweet
Steve Carell, on Jan. 18, tweets about The Office returning. Within minutes, the tweet was ‘retweeted’, ‘favorited’, ‘shared’. It was retweeted about 123,000 times and “hearted” by 209,000. High hopes are pinned on the return of the iconic comedy series.

Cruel Steve, this is just cruel. Damage control mode needs to be on right now. Memes started coming in and social media was exploding with discussions on what really is going on.
Return of Will and Grace
It is stale news now that Will and Grace is getting a revival. Variety reports that the drama series is returning for a 10 episode series on NBC. The series will bring back Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally on the show. Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will continue to be showrunners.
NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt says, “We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back. This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”
Coming back to Steve Carell, he decided to make someone else a scapegoat for his ‘typo’ tweet. Who else, other than Toby? His tweet reads, “My account was hacked by Toby Flenderson.” It is painful to even start thinking about the series and the characters. So, Steve Carell, just stop!
