Rita Ora: No Bad Blood With Jay-Z And Beyonce

The queen is expecting! Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is pregnant with twins. And months after speculation on the state of her marriage with Jay-Z (Shawn Corey Carter), it seems like things are going well. Perhaps, that’s why Rita Ora was so enthusiastic about sharing the photo and congratulating the couple.

In 2016, Rita Ora became the subject of an apparent conspiracy theory, which painted her as having had an affair with Jay-Z. Fortunately, the post seems to indicate that there’s no bad blood between the Formation singer and the America’s Next Top Model host.

Sharing Our Love And Happiness

The singer’s announcement came via an Instagram post, which showed her in underwear to reveal her baby bump. A veil is draped over her head, and she’s looking knowingly at the camera, clearly ready to welcome some new kids into the world.

“We would like to share our love and happiness,” reads the caption on the photo, “We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.”

The twins will be the couple’s second and third children, joining their elder sister Blue Ivy, who was born in 2012. It’s a strong turnaround since the couple was rocked with gossip about their apparently tumultuous marriage. Beyoncé’s album Lemonade, released in April 2016, seemed to suggest that Jay-Z had been unfaithful to her, with verses like “Looking at my watch, he should have been home,” and “He only want me, when I’m not on there, he better call Becky with the good hair.”

Who’s Becky?

Shortly after Beyoncé dropped Lemonade, Rita Ora posted a picture of herself in a bra with lemon-themed designs. A necklace with a ‘J’ can also be seen around her neck. The Bey-hive was quick to get buzzing, and Ora was quickly labelled as the ‘Becky’ in the songs.

Since then, Rita Ora has strongly denied the accusations, insisting that the photo and the timing of the album’s release were completely coincidental. She addressed the gossip herself in a tweet: “I have nothing but the utmost respect for Beyoncé. Let’s continue enjoying Lemonade.”

Minutes after Beyoncé dropped the big announcement, Rita Ora quickly reposted the post with a congratulatory message: “YAY!!!!!! Congratulations !!!!! sooooo beautiful!!!!”

That, of course, has opened up another can of worms completely, with some accusing her as simply using Beyoncé’s and Jay-Z’s names to stay relevant. As they say, even bad publicity is good publicity.
