Celebrities throwing shade at each other on social media platforms always make news. In a politically charged atmosphere in the USA right now, celebs are often seen venting their angst on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. This time around, Rihanna and Azealia Banks are in the midst of a bickering argument on Instagram.
The recent orders by Donald Trump on ban on seven Muslim countries is the reason of outrage across the world. Rihanna reacted to the ban by tweeting, “Disgusted! The news is devastating! America is being ruined right before our eyes! What an immoral pig you have to be to implement such BS!!.”
Azealia Banks Says Shut Up Rihanna
Her tweet received mixed reactions from the Twitter world. Rapper Azealia Banks decided to also put in her two cents as a reply to the tweet. She called out Riri for influencing the citizens wrongfully.
Her response, “As far as rihanna (who isn’t a citizen, and can’t vote) and all the rest of the celebrities who are using their influence to stir the public, you lot really REALLY need to shut up and sit down. Stop chastising the president. It’s stupid and pathetic to watch. All of these confused people confuse other confused people. Hoping the president fails is like getting on an airplane and hoping the pilot crashes. What makes you think, the the USA is going to enter the Middle East destroy a bunch of shit and pull out without any real repercussions?”
Twitter Battle Taken to Instagram
Rihanna is not someone to take things lying down. She took to Instagram with an interesting caption, “The face you make when you a immigrant #stayawayfromthechickens #iheartnuggets #saveourhens”. So the catch here are the hashtags. Save our hens is a dig on Banks who was in a controversial video where she was cleaning blood from years of sacrificing chickens in her closet.
The online fight did not end there. Banks took a screen shot of Riri’s post and wrote a scathing caption. This is where we think things went too far. So both of these celebrities need to take step back or their fingers back from posting anything against each other.
