Non-believer Mark Zuckerberg Might Have Found God!

Atheist days are in the past now for Mark Zuckerberg. The Facebook founder now says that religion is ‘important’!

Remember the reckless and carefree version of Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network? The actor is nothing like his character in real life, at least, not anymore. Turns out, he has found religion and celebrates Christmas among other things. He even wished his followers on FB during the occasion of Christmas and Hanukkah.

Mark Zuckerberg and Faith

Initially, Mark was an open atheist. He had little to no regard for religious dogmas and he ‘questioned things’ in the past. Looks like marriage and kid has changed the social media mogul into a believer. Furthermore, Mark’s status on his Facebook profile read that he’s ‘celebrating Christmas’ too.

Mark’s run in with faith doesn’t limit itself to a Facebook post, however. He and his wife Priscilla Chan met with the Pope earlier and had some nice things to say afterwards. Case in point, the couple went to the Vatican to talk about the impact of Communication technology on the destitute worldwide. Mark went suckers for Pope’s compassion and empathy towards the cause too!

His wife Priscilla, on the other hand, is a Buddhist by faith. This brought Mark close to Buddhism and subsequently took him to Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi’an during his trip to China in 2015. Speaking on Buddhism, Mark is keen on the philosophy of the ‘amazing’ religion. Important to understand that, Mark inclines towards the faith in general but not anything in particular.

Here Priscilla and I are with the Pope looking at a book we gave him with stories of people who are using the internet in amazing ways.

The Response

The Christmas and Hanukkah wishes from Mark Zuckerberg was met with a rather surprising replies too. One Jose Antonio came up with a brusque, “Aren’t you an atheist?” In response, Mark spoke of his Jewish upbringings and the ‘importance’ of religion.

Although he was an open atheist couple of years ago, he’s no longer so. By and large, he might not be an agnostic too. He is seemingly a person who inclines towards the best of all worlds’ faith. Isn’t that the foundation of life, anyway?
