Furthermore, not only did she hit all the points but she also managed to incorporate her role in the military in her answer.
Deshauna Barber Winning: Just What the World Needs
Not trying to make the pageant political, but Deshauna Barber winning the Miss Universe pageant will do a great deal for the United States. Racism in the United States has gone rampant after the political battle between the Democrats and the Republicans. An African American Miss Universe would, if not stop, at least bring light and appreciation to the African American citizens.
Miss USA Deshauna Barber Winning, A Big Slap to Trump’s Face
President-elect Donald J. Trump used to own the Miss Universe Organization before he sold it September last year. Donald J. Trump, known for his racial slurs, reportedly claimed that blacks are lazy according to Huffington Post. Despite claims that racism in America no longer exists, he continued to retweet white supremacy.
Barber getting the Miss Universe crown would not only become a win for the oppressed in the United States but also throughout the world. It could become a way of the whole world saying that beauty is beauty, no matter which color or country a person belongs to.
The Fight is Still in the Hands of Miss USA
Despite all the support Miss USA Deshauna Barber receives from her fans around the world, her win will still be up to her performance in the pageant. There can be no question regarding her goals and intellect, so it all comes down to how she carries herself throughout her journey. One thing is for sure, she’ll be doing everyone a big favor if she wins the crown.
