All the press conferences and all the paparazzi surrounding the beautiful damsel are just settling down. For the next one year, the winner of Miss Universe needs to get adept giving interviews, pretty sure, that is one of the lessons they learn.

Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere spoke to one of the publications about the way forward after winning the crown. From ensuring smiles (quite literally) to empowering women, all are on the to-do list of this French citizen.

Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere Plans Ahead

Miss Universe 2016 spoke to Hollywood Life.com about her plans to ensure dental hygiene in the world. “I’m going to work with Smile Train” she says. Smile Train is a non-profit which provides corrective surgery for children with cleft lips and palates.

Mittenaere is pursuing a degree in dental surgery and she wishes to use her expertise in bringing a change to the world. She also wants to represent and empower women who do get a platform to speak. Iris says, “I want to show people that women have something to say, something to do, and [that] we are not just mothers, sisters, or a wife, [but that] we are a lot of things. We have jobs. I think it’s important. I want to be a good role model for children, women and girls.”
