Miami Beach’s art-centric Faena District is set for a big party with the upcoming Madonna Tears of a Clown performance. The annual Art Basel fair in Miami is going to be more fun this year.
The pop singer took it to Instagram to share the news along with a picture of herself dressed in a pink clown suit. “A Girl Has to Have Options. ‘Tears of a Clown’ (TOAC) Coming soon to Art Basel Dec 2,” she wrote.
Madonna Tears of a Clown December 2016 Miami Concert
The first ‘Tears of a Clown’ concert had Madonna riding a small tricycle, shading fellow singers including Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez. She sang a cover of Stephen Sondheim’s “Send in the Clowns.”
The second and the upcoming concert will include a combination of singing and standup comedy at the concert hall. The hall is scheduled to open just in time for the Art Basel event, from Dec.1-4 in Miami Beach.
According to local news, an accompanying dinner and art auction will also take place. In the auction Madonna will sell pieces from her personal collection, including a Picasso. The proceeds will go to the 48-year-old singer’s nonprofit organization Raising Malawi. It will also go to the latest project, The Mercy James Pediatric Surgery Hospital in Malawi, “as well as art and education initiatives for impoverished children in the southeastern African nation.”
James Corden, talk show host, will moderate the gala. It will also feature appearances by comedian Chris Rock, native South Floridian singer Ariana Grande, and actor Sean Penn. Reports indicate that about 500 attendees are expected at this grand concert.
For those who want a VIP cocktail reception and meet-and-greet with Madonna herself, tickets are still available at a whopping $150,000. No wonder there are many Madonna fans who are ready to pay any amount to attend a meet and greet session with her.
Her Instagram post received numerous comments and one fan requested the pop music queen to record the concert and post on her social media account. Clearly, the world does not want to miss this extravaganza and the fans are are super excited to see their idol perform.
While standard tickets are priced at $5,000, a V.I.P. cocktail reception will cost $150,000. The concert will take place in mid-Miami Beach’s art-centric Faena District. To get your tickets contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
