After conquering Super Bowl LI, Lady Gaga’s next challenge is to become a guest celebrity judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race. The singer posted a teaser video of her episode on Twitter. She hashtagged it with #DontBeADrag and #JustBeAQueen.
In the video, RuPaul was seen telling the contestants to “start your engines.” Then, Lady Gaga appeared and everyone screamed and literally cried (one even fainted?). The singer looked absolutely stunning in a sequined bodysuit and dramatic eye makeup.
About Time For Lady Gaga To Score This Gig
Lady Gaga tells the contestants “May the best woman win,” and we just know they’re going to give their very best in front of Mother Monster. Everyone on Twitter is freaking out, of course, because it’s Gaga, hello! If you’re a drag queen and you will need to idolize someone, Gaga’s your woman.
Really, what a way to kick off Season 9 this coming March. To have Gaga perform in your show is one thing, but to have her be a celebrity judge where contestants may be able to interact with her is just different. It’s interesting to see how the queens will react to having her around.
In a statement about Gaga’s arrival in the show, Logo said that RuPaul’s Drag Race will premiere with “a shocking opening that will go down as one of the most jaw-dropping moments in Drag Race history.” With Lady Gaga suddenly appearing, have you picked up your jaws yet? Just kidding!
In RuPaul’s Drag Race, 14 of America’s fiercest and most fabulous drag queens will fight for the grand prize—a “sickening supply” of cosmetics and $100,000 in cash. Aside from Ru, other returning judges are singer Michelle Visage and fashion designer Santino Rice. Celebrity guest judges include Neil Patrick Harris, Paula Abdul, Leah Remini, and Khloe Kardashian.
Drag Race is in its ninth season. In the past, it received multiple awards like the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality Program. It has also been nominated for Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Reality TV Show Host.
Lady Gaga To Perform At The Grammy’s
As if her Super Bowl stint is not enough, Lady Gaga is also performing at this year’s Grammy’s. The band Metallica will join her onstage this Sunday. Lady Gaga is a regular performer for the annual music awards.
Last year, Lady Gaga appeared at a ceremony honoring David Bowie. Metallica, on the other hand, hasn’t been on the show since 2014 when they performed One with classical pianist Lang Lang.
Lady Gaga will appear as a guest judge on the Season Premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race!💅😱
