Fifty Shades Darker actress Dakota Johnson has always been on everyone’s radar. Owing to her sultry looks and fierce personality, the 27-year-old star recently opened up about her appreciation for sex toys. It does not come off as a huge surprise though, as Johnson has starred alongside Jamie Dornan in the sexy Fifty Shades franchise. Read on to find out what the actress said about the kinky topic, which many fans will be thrilled about to know.
Fifty Shades Darker actress speaks up about new love for sex toys
Glamour Magazine recently hailed Johnson as this month’s new cover girl. In the interview, she dished how life is for her while working with Irish hunk Jamie Dornan. Moreover, she spoke up about how her parents reacted when the actress first showed interest in the E. L. James-penned movie adaptation. More interestingly, she revealed how she finds sex toys “beautiful.”
“When we first started on Fifty Shades, that wasn’t a world I was privy to at all, and I soon found out there are all these different tiers. There are some things out there that are really grimy and nasty, and then there are really beautiful, intricate and chic toys. Actually, whole aspects of the BDSM world are truly beautiful,” she said.
Johnson’s fame skyrocketed since she begun working on this film. However, this doesn’t mean that her parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson have seen her work.
Whether her parents support her on-screen character Anastasia Steele, she says, “They haven’t [seen the movie] because it’s such a tricky thing. It’s too uncomfortable for them.”
Johnson admits that a large part of the premise of the Fifty Shades franchise is Ana and Christian (Dornan)’s sexual relationship, so having her family watch it seems “a little too inappropriate.”

Fifty Shades Darker’s Johnson ready for new roles
While she is proud of her work, Johnson said she is open to taking on other roles. Not because she was “put off” entirely by the film’s premise, but rather, she feels she is ready to do “other stuff.”
“Maybe they will be other sexy [projects], or maybe they will be the complete opposite, but I do know that I’m ready to move on,” she added.
The second sequel in the book-turned-movie adaptation Fifty Shades Darker, hits theaters on Feb. 10.
