The video for Bruno Mars Carpool Karaoke was uploaded today in The Late Late Show’s official YouTube Channel. The trailer for the episode, which was uploaded yesterday, showed Corden thanking his passenger for accompanying him through the traffic. Right after Corden asks “Mind if we listen to some music?”, 24K Magic starts to play. The camera pans outward, revealing Bruno Mars as Corden’s companion.

This week’s segment is dubbed as “The Carpool You’ve Been Waiting For.” And it looks like the video was right. Bruno Mars and Corden were seen belting out to the singer’s Locked Out of HeavenGrenade, and 24K Magic. Fans can also expect a friendly banter between Mars and Corden amidst the high-energy sing-along gig.

Why Carpool Karaoke Is Popular

Carpool Karaoke is one of the many recurring segments of The Late Late Show with James Corden. It is arguably the most popular segment of the late-night show. One Carpool Karaoke episode, which featured Adele, has 138 million views. The said episode is known as the most viewed Carpool Karaoke session to date.

Melissa Locker from The Guardian attributed the segment’s success to the host James Corden. Locker called Corden a “lovable goofball who has all of Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon’s charm but none of his smirk”. It’s no wonder that Carpool Karaoke is being considered to have a standalone show!
